I didn't realize that blogs had a picture limit. I have tried uploading more pictures for future blog posts and have been denied unless I start paying a yearly fee. Hmmm. I have moved to a new URL address. You can read all about my family and our happenings at http://8passengers.blogspot.com I have decided that since the address doesn't have our name in it, it would be ok to go public. I also realized that private blogs only allow 100 readers. I have also hit that limit and want my new friends here in my new neighborhood to be able to read the blog too.

Shari and Chad are loving their new school. They are not at all the type to be nervous or shy. They just jumped in with both feet. I need to post a picture of their school. It has the most beautiful view! It is tucked up under the mountains and front row to the deer.
I have always felt welcome in each place I've lived. From Seattle to Nampa Idaho I have found friends and wonderful people. But this neighborhood is really exceptional. Everyday someone has shown up to visit or bring a treat. Today some of the girls threw together a welcoming luncheon. Apparently once you move Into the neighborhood you never leave. Having a new kid on the block is pretty rare. I am starting to see why people don't ever leave.

Only a Mother could wipe her child's nose and then wipe it on her own jeans.
Only a Mother could reach her hand down a pooped in toilet bowl to retrieve a toy.
And only a Mother would drive an hour and a half to clean her daughter's toilets!!
My Mom is really the best. When we moved in I felt so overwhelmed with all the work to do. Do I unpack? Do I clean? Do I take care of the 5 kids??? My Mom surprised me and came up to my place and cleaned all my bathrooms. She even disassembled the toilets to clean the individual parts and then put them back together. Now I KNOW they are clean! Mom worked in the bathrooms most of the day and I worked in the kitchen. Growing up I always did the kitchens and Mom always did the bathrooms. Some things never change. We took a break and ate Hostess Chocolate Cupcakes. Some things never change.
Doesn't my Mom look so pretty even when she is cleaning?

Thursday we enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving meal at my parents' home. The food was wonderful! My Mom really knows how to make Thanksgiving special. The day after Thanksgiving was moving day. My parents and brothers and sisters showed up to move us. After the move Kevin treated everyone to Pier 49. Yummy!!
Today was our first day in the house and we did a LOT! My goal was to get the kids bathed (it's been 3 days now) and get the kitchen counters cleared and cleaned and the finish the fridge. This has been one of the dirtiest homes I've ever moved into. In fact, it might be dirtier than the first apartment Kevin and I lived in. I got a little blue when I started into the kitchen pantry. Here is a before picture.
Sick hu? How do people live like this? Washcloths do nothing. I told you before that I am not handy, but I am going to start slow and learn. I'm going to start with sand paper. I'm learning that sand paper can be really fun. I told Kevin that's what I want for Christmas - a BIG box of sand paper, and Kwal Ambassador high gloss paint. ;)
While I was a bit blue, I found that my little Jules was blue, too. Poor little thing.
But things cheered up when the afternoon came and Shari and Chad walked the dog FIVE times! They also went and met all the neighbors and asked them if we could borrow rakes. SO worth dirty cabinets. I am really liking our neighborhood.
The kids all practiced this morning. The music room is one of my favorite rooms in the house. It has great sound! I love how the house is centered around the kitchen and music room. It helps us center our home around the table, music, and food. There is no TV in sight. You have to really go out of your way to find the TV room. Love it!

I know this post seems all over the place, but I just HAVE to write about it.
I've been sweating it all night and day. Our loan has just been sitting there. This morning they called asking about a third savings account they stumbled across and wanted all the documentation on it. In the mean time we were hoping to get out of these boxes today and praying that the seller won't just walk away. They won't let us move one box until the loan gets funded.
For the past few days I have felt the impression to go through some of Russell's old clothes that don't fit. (Can you believe he is already in 9 month clothes!) Today I finally went through his newborn, 3 month and 6 months clothes and put them into a bag along with the CUTE receiving blankets I made. Some of the clothes still had tags on them. One of the blankets cost about $40 to make because the fabric was SO adorable! I thought about keeping them to remind me of Russell. I don't think I'll be having anymore babies.
My next door neighbor is a smoker and we have had lots of issues over the years with their barking dogs and bad habits. I ran into her mother and she told me that she is 20 weeks pregnant with a boy and is on strict bed rest. They don't have a lot of money and it wouldn't surprise me if they are on assistance. She is having lots and lots of problems with this pregnancy because of her bad habits. It took a while to talk myself into it, but I finally took the bag of Russell's clothes and blankets over to her house with a note telling her that I was thinking of her.
Not more than 1 minute passed after I got home that my phone rang and was told that our loan funded and that we can start moving NOW! The thought came to my mind, "The timing on this was not coincidence. If you always clothe my naked and feed my hungry you will always be blessed beyond your wildest expectations."
This Thanksgiving I am thankful for my Thanksgiving Home! Literally!! I am thankful for the chances we have to serve each other. I am thankful for our Prophet, President Monson. I am thankful for my family. I am thankful for our ups and our downs.

A person can only do so much. Right? Today I was out at the city building transferring my electricity when I got a phone call from my lender AND one from the title company. The title company wants me to resign a paper and bring it back in. They didn't like how my signature appeared, apparently. So I do that and then my lender wanted MORE paper work trailing where all the money for the down payment came from. Seriously? I think I sent them this info at least 3 times. AND I already closed. Isn't this suppose to be taken care of BEFORE closing??
So then I went to Walmart to get more boxes. I can't believe how much stuff we have. I had Russell in the cart and was delicately balancing 20 boxes so as not to have them fall and scratch his little face. When I got to the door to leave the store a man comes over and wanted to see the receipt for all the boxes. Are you kidding me?! So I juggle the boxes so as not to have them tumble down on Russell, while digging through my overloaded purse and a box slides down my hand and gives me a cardboard cut. Now, being the decent, Christ-like person that I am I loudly yelled so everyone could hear, "Oh SHIT!" Yes, I am very mature. And then I felt so bad seeing the look on the man's face that I immediately started bawling. I don't think the faucet is going to turn off folks. I'm suppose to be in the house today cleaning and moving but they won't let me in until I give them more paperwork.
It has been a very terrible no good day.
P.S. My bottom hurts really really bad.
